Shaela Miller has spent the better part of her life in a small out of the way town in southwestern Canada, which almost surely influenced her rootsy independent spirit so evident in her music. Rather than conform to the popular forms of music she was hearing on the big radio stations, Shaela began to reach outside the comfortable envelope of typical lyrical themes and melodies, opting instead for a truly unique take on life’s challenges and love’s lessons.
Catchy riffs and sophisticated lyrics combined with a splash of quirky humor all make for a truly one of a kind experience, but when asked to describe her music she replies simply “Honky Tonk.” We’ll take that as Honky Tonk with a ‘twist’!
